Join us for Cru’s Fall Getaway for a weekend to getaway from campus, build relationships with friends new and old, and spend some awesome time with God! We’ll worship and hear from God’s word, take in the beautiful fall colors, play games, eat too much, sleep too little, and come away from the weekend refreshed in our walk with God and our relationships with each other.

Patrick Schwenk- Discipleship Pastor, Grace Bible Church

Hi, I am Patrick! I was born and raised in Ft. Wayne, IN and my wife Ruth, was born and raised in Ann Arbor/South Lyon, MI. We met on a prank phone call while attending the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. While Ruth didn’t fall for the prank, in time, she would fall for me. Today, we have been married for almost twenty years and have four children ages nine to fifteen. We have had the joy of serving in local church ministry for over 15 years.
We are the founders of FortheFamily.org and TheBetterMom.com, as well as authors of several books with Harper Collins Christian. (For Better or For Kids, Pressing Pause, Hoodwinked, and The Better Mom and more).
I have a Master’s in Ministry from Grace College and a Doctor of Ministry in Discipleship from Talbot School of Theology (Biola University). I love reading, drinking lots of coffee, spending time with my family and watching Michigan football!
